Change of attitudes

The criminal mind sinks to new lows when they feed on the weak and the helpless. The news story I heard about an eating establishment where a guy who is stabbed with a butcher knife is in a wheel chair while getting robbed is a cruel event. Especially when, it is done around the holiday season and people let their guard down to such dangers. The victim in the wheel chair did not survive. They caught the guy who inflected the fatal wounds and he had been let out five years after another manslaughter case. The monster was on the loose and claimed someone who could not fight back. I hope the communities will work together through the churches and reshape the youth and the troubled to a more positive outlook. Even when the economy is bad, there are ways to earn money without harming your neighbor.

The day before Christmas Eve

Little can be said about organization when things start piling up on the kitchen table. Cards that are put off to next year when you dream of having more time to get everything done. I can say that the cold snap is leaving and a warm trend is returning. I even saw the mosquitoes buzzing around my head this evening. A tree and outside lights did not go up this year. However, I did get a few hanging decorations outside. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a great new year.

Florida weather is back

It is the first of December and the warmer weather along with the mosquitoes are back. Plus, the humidity and the grey sky. I miss the slightly cooler weather and the clear blue sky. A friend and close friend of my parents is having his memorial service today. Russ Williams, created many memories for different people. He was versitile in his accomplishments. He ran a typesetting business and was involved in square dancing. He used his car to shuttle my parents around at their wedding. He raised two children and probably had some grandkids. He helped my sister out at her farm by feeding the animals. He will be missed by many people involved in his life.
